08/29/2018 - You may have noticed a change to your MCERA retirement deduction for your first pay period in July. The MCERA Retirement Board approved new contribution rates in February that took effect July 1, 2018.

Share Your Medical Plan Feedback with the County

03/26/2018 - The County of Marin is conducting a request for proposal (RFP) to replace the Anthem Blue Cross PPO plan, which has grown increasingly unaffordable in recent years. As part of the RFP process, retirees covered by the Kaiser Silver, Kaiser Low and Anthem Blue Cross plans sponsored by the County are encouraged to share concerns and provide feedback by completing a short survey.

Error in Retiree COLA Mailing List

03/09/2018 - We discovered an error in the retiree cost of living adjustment (COLA) mailing that was sent to all COLA-eligible retirees this week.

April 2018 Retiree COLA: 3%

02/14/2018 - At the February meeting, the Retirement Board affirmed the actuary's calculation of a 3% cost of living adjustment (COLA) for the plan. The actual amount of your retiree COLA depends upon the employer and/or tier from which you retired, and your date of retirement. Maximum COLAs are 2%, 3% or 4%.
