Jeff Wickman, Retirement Administrator

Jeff joined MCERA as Retirement Administrator in August 2010. As Administrator, he works closely with the Retirement Board on administrative, financial and investment matters, and is responsible for translating Board policy into action. Prior to coming to MCERA, Jeff was Assistant Director of Policy and Strategic Initiatives for the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems. He has served on the Board of Directors of the California Association of Public Retirement Systems (CALAPRS) since 2013. Jeff earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Central Washington University and is a graduate of the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Affairs Career Executive Management Program.

Michelle Hardesty, Assistant Retirement Administrator

Michelle joined MCERA in October 2011, bringing 25 years of experience in customer service and benefits administration, most recently serving as Senior Plan Administrator for the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems. As Assistant Administrator, Michelle's focus is on creating more efficient processes, enhancing customer service levels and improving member education. Prior to working for the State of Washington, Michelle worked for a broker-dealer in the securities industry, achieving a Series 7 General Securities Representative designation.
